Pujas are held occasionally and a particular community group worship and offer prayers to this Anthaliyappan God for fulfillment of their wishes. It is maintained by a private sector. There are many types of offerings to this God and devotees offer their prayers by head shaving, donating bell, donating money and also animal sacrifice, for fulfillment of their wishes. It is believed that these Sacrifices and rituals performed within the sacred groves will appease the God and other associated parivara devatas, will bring good fortunes and ensure the well-being of the community. Sacred groves are often associated with ancestral worship.
