About this Sacred Grove

Spread over 2.3 hectares in Anaichampalayam, Namakkal district, this sacred kavu is dedicated to Lord Anjaneyar (Hanuman), worshipped as the powerful protector against evil spirits, black magic, fear and accidents. Local belief says Anjaneyar manifested to guard the village border, cattle and travellers, blessing devotees with courage, strength and safe journeys. Devotees pray for relief from shani dosha, health, child protection and victory over enemies. The dense grove preserves ancient trees, monkeys, birds and medicinal plants as sacred, strictly protected from cutting. Tuesdays, Saturdays and Hanuman Jayanthi poojas with vadai malai, butter and sindoor offerings maintain ancient Kongu tradition of faith-based biodiversity conservation.
