This sacred grove is located at Athencode village, Kalkulam Taluk, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity is Nagaramman, revered as the serpent goddess for fertility, protection from snake bites and family welfare. The grove spans 1.2 hectares with thick evergreen cover. Maintained by the local Nair community and family trustees, felling of trees is strictly forbidden. Annual Ayilyam Pooja is celebrated. The grove conserves biodiversity, age-old rituals and ecological harmony.
