About this Sacred Grove

Chinnavadakudipatti Muni Temple is a powerful guardian shrine located in Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu. Lord Muneeswaran is worshipped here as the fierce protector of the village boundary and destroyer of evil forces. According to local folklore, when the village was plagued by theft, diseases and black magic, the elders prayed to Maha Kali, and in their dream, her chief guardian Muni appeared, seated with cigar and aruval, promising protection. From that day, Muni was installed beside the Kali temple. Devotees believe he patrols the village at night on horseback, delivers justice, cures fear and spirit afflictions, and grants courage, family protection and victory over enemies.
