About this Sacred Grove

Kallamedu Veeramuthu Aiyanar Sacred Grove is located in Kallamedu Village, Ariyalur Taluk, Ariyalur District, Tamil Nadu. Dedicated to Lord Veeramuthu Aiyanar, the fierce and powerful guardian form of Aiyanar, the grove is revered for protection and justice. No one dares to cut trees or misuse the grove, fearing his wrath, and it is preserved through traditional taboos and festivals.
