About this Sacred Grove
The grove is located outside the village dedicated to Edamalai Mahalinga Maya Karuppaswami and is maintained by the local villagers. There are also shrines for Amman and Vinayagar. During the annual festival – Aadi perukku observed in the month of Aadi (July to August) people sacrifice goats and hens in hundreds for fulfilling their wishes and give annadhanam.
