About this Sacred Grove
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Saptha Kannimar. Local villagers select 7 girls from their village and decorate them like Goddesses Saptha Kannimar and worship them performing a special puja on the day. Weekly once a special puja is done for the Saptha Kannimar. It is believed that the Saptha Kannimar is protecting deities for them. Pujas are allowed to be performed to the deity only by a selected group of persons in the village.
