About this Sacred Grove

This sacred grove is located at Poovancode village, Vilavancode Taluk, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. The presiding deity is Dharma Sastha, worshipped for protection, justice and family welfare. The grove spans approximately 1.2 hectares with dense vegetation and ancient trees. Maintained by local community and traditional custodians, cutting of trees and plucking of plants are strictly prohibited. Annual Mandala Pooja and Kodai festivals are celebrated. The grove conserves biodiversity, traditional faith and ecological balance.
