About this Sacred Grove
It is believed that Muniyappan protects the entire hill and forest. People crossing the temple, worship the deity and then proceed. People worship by offering Salt in front of the spear kept before the deity. Goats and hens are sacrificed only on Sundays while every day puja is performed in the morning and evening before 3.00 p.m. in order to avoid conflict with the animals living in the forest.
